facebook closed my account and asked me to upload a photo to prove my ID but after that there was a message telling me that it's not sure that facebook will review my account

my account has just been closed by Facebook. I don't know why but they ask an ID photo. after that i receive that lessage "We have fewer people available to review information due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This means we may be unable to review your account."

I don't understand why they do that and what to do. I work with my Facebook account and I can't be out for more than one day. What to do?

تم إغلاق حسابي من قبل Facebook. لا أعرف لماذا لكنهم يطلبون صورة هوية. بعد ذلك أتلقى تلك الرسالة "لدينا عدد أقل من الأشخاص المتاحين لمراجعة المعلومات بسبب جائحة فيروس كورونا (COVID-19). وهذا يعني أننا قد لا نتمكن من مراجعة حسابك."

لا أفهم لماذا يفعلون ذلك وماذا يفعلون. أنا أعمل مع حسابي على Facebook ولا يمكنني الخروج لأكثر من يوم واحد. ماذا أفعل؟

but there is no way of contacting them. report to your local media, the more people that
do the sooner we might get a response.​

I haven't. I just tried doing the submit photo ID option and an error message popped up saying Your Information Couldn't Be Submitted: Log into your account on Facebook, or to see further instructions.

Yea. Not the only one. In fact a lot of people with accounts older then 10 years got the same thing. Looks like its a 'fake account' prevention, another type of CAPCHA made by facebook. Got mine blocked friday night, submitted the 'Video Selfie' and i thought that its an automated process, but how wrong was i. It took 24h+ to get the account enabled again. For the time that it took i am thinking that it needs a human to review.

Facebook states that it won't use facial recognition, it just detects head movement, but i really doubt that, based on their past history regarding person data.

Also, i went through some posts and looks like creating another account from the same ip address or same name or some kind of a photo with your face, its an instant ban. Some people are waiting for like weeks to get a review in this situation. Try not to do it, lol.

My account is requesting a video selfie to unlock but the app won't film anything. All I get is a flickering green progress circle in the middle of my image that never completes. I don't even get to the "turn your head toward the arrows" portion that the help menu describes because it won't get past the initial start of filming. Did yours just work?

Yea. Mine just works. This feature was introduced in the app since last year sometime in November if i remember correctly ( there are some news posts about this exact feature discovered by someone)

Try a reinstall on the app or maybe use a pc with a webcam or laptop. Also i don't really know if this works on the Facebook Lite app, it should but, you know, facebook. They fucked up the FB app and Message app like crazy over the years.

Also this thing might be triggered by not using the new web interface, or enable it, realize its a shity interface and going back to the old one. 'cuz i did that and also some other people did that and we ended in this. Facebook won't give a statement about this :/

Thank you for the advice. I'll try the desktop camera solution & see if that helps.

Same. Seems to have happened to a bunch of people the last few days, as others have said. On mobile I was asked to submit a verification code that was texted to me, which I did, and then it asked for a video which kind of freaked me out so I closed it. I checked later on desktop Facebook and it asked for a photo, so I ended up doing that. Now just waiting to see if I ever get my account back. I pretty much only use Messenger to keep in touch with friends, so I'm really confused about what even happened. Good to know we shouldn't try to make a new account in the meantime. Thanks all!

Edit: forgot to add that, weirdly, I'm still receiving messages from people, I just can't reply to them (or see any photos or gifs, if they post those). I'm also still getting push notifications for people's birthdays.
