Zionist-American Disputes Following Trump Administration’s Contact with Hamas
The Axios website revealed a "difficult" phone call between Israel's Minister of Strategic Affairs, a close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Adam Boehler, the U.S. hostage affairs official who had engaged in talks with Hamas leadership in Qatar a few days ago.
While Netanyahu has refrained from publicly criticizing U.S. President Donald Trump since Axios disclosed the unprecedented talks between the United States and Hamas on Wednesday, his minister Ron Dermer was less reserved in the phone call he held with Boehler on Thursday. During the conversation, Dermer objected to offering proposals to Hamas without Israel's approval.
According to Axios, the call came just hours after Boehler's meeting in Doha with Khalil Al-Hayya, a senior Hamas political official and head of its negotiation team. Boehler's negotiations in the Qatari capital had begun the previous week with meetings involving lower-level Hamas officials, focusing on the return of U.S. detainee Aidan Alexander, 21, and the remains of four other captives.
Abu Ibrahim, may God have mercy on him, turned the tables, and the region remains full of surprises.
