It poses a significant risk not only to the security of states but also to the development of communities. In this context, the economic integration of African citizens is considered a fundamental step toward promoting peace and security in the continent. It helps in providing employment opportunities, alleviating poverty, and reducing social and economic disparities—factors that play a major role in preventing terrorism. On the other hand, civil society plays a crucial role in fostering social peace and countering extremism, as it can provide psychological and social support, in addition to contributing to spreading a culture of dialogue and tolerance. Regarding Algeria, the country has implemented effective strategies to combat terrorism, which are reflected in security policies and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving regional and international stability.

The economic integration of the African citizen represents the cornerstone of building a sustainable and secure society. In many African countries, poverty and unemployment are key factors that drive young people to join terrorist groups.
